Youth Lounge



The Youth Lounge is free-to-access drop-in style space for youth (ages 15-23) to gather for social activities, youth engagement, exchange knowledge and experiences and to explore open dialogue. The Youth Lounge is designed to focus efforts into awareness, training and education.
Activities include:
Individual & Group Counseling sessions (in person/virtual),
Leadership Training that promote leadership development and civil engagement.
Digital Media/Communications
Mentorships
Harm Reduction Education Activities
Peer-Led Social Activities such as movie and game nights
Mental Health Learning & Self-care workshops (in person/virtual)
Youth Job connections that supports youth by providing placement employment opportunities through SWCSN
Youth Moving Beyond the Criminal Justice System (YMBCJS)



YMBCJS is aimed for youth (ages 17-29) who have been involved with police or courts, curfews, house arrest, community service, and probation.
Types of supports available:
workshops, group couching & one – on one support
Harm-reduction assistance
Resources and referrals
Employment networking/training
Substance use/abuse education
Leadership training, Motivational Interviewing & Trauma Informed Care.
YMBCJS provides referrals to relevant agencies in legal aid, education, mental health & addiction and, conflict mediation. SWCSN has been successful at providing families with the right supports and services and works with probation officers.
Enhanced Youth Outreach Worker (EYOW)



The Enhanced Youth Outreach Worker program (EYOW) brings support to youth at risk of engaging in anti-social behavior’s and/or experiencing challenges related to mental health, addictions, or trauma.
Summer Camp



Open to children 8 – 18 years of age. We provide both indoor and outdoor activities. We provide workshops such as capacity building, health and safety education, nutritional education and, basic camping skills.
