About COVID-19 Vaccines
Who is eligible
Vaccination is one of the most effective ways to help protect ourselves, and our families and communities against COVID-19.
COVID-19 vaccines approved for use in Canada are free of charge. They are available to everyone eligible to get the vaccine by federal, provincial and territorial public health authorities.

This applies to:

Everyone in Canada; children 5 to 11 years of age, and 12 years of age and over, including those who aren't citizens.

Canadians serving in diplomatic and consular missions abroad (and their dependents) living in countries where the Health Canada-approved vaccines aren't available.

Canadian Armed Forces members who are serving abroad in countries where the Health Canada-approved vaccines aren't available.

Pfizer-BioNTech for those 12 years of age or older

How to stay safe
To prevent the spread of COVID-19

Maintain a safe distance from others (at least 1 metre), even if they don’t appear to be sick.

Wear a mask in public, especially indoors or when physical distancing is not possible.

Choose open, well-ventilated spaces over closed ones. Open a window if indoors.

Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or an alcohol-based hand rub.

Get vaccinated when it’s your turn. Follow local guidance about vaccination.

Cover your nose and mouth with your bent elbow or a tissue when you cough or sneeze.

Stay home if you feel unwell.
